You should have a laptop with stable internet, a notepad, a pen for taking notes, and a quiet environment to avoid distractions.
Is there any specific laptop I need to have?
Your laptop should have sufficient RAM and processor for design applications. We prefer it if you have an Apple MacBook, but any other Windows laptop with a graphics card would also work fine.
Yes, after every class, you will receive soft copies of relevant books on design and links to reference videos. Each DesignX Academy material is copyrighted; you cannot share it with any third party.
Lectures are conducted on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). The total duration of a lecture is 2 hours. Each session starts with a 5-10 minute recap and a 10-minute warm-up activity. Then, there’s a 1.5-hour lecture followed by a 15-minute feedback session. An assignment submission will be at the end of each week when you get hands-on experience.
We have a buddy-mentor system to help with queries and feedback. This system will also help monitor students’ progress on their assigned projects.
We have learning exercises that foster design thinking and observational learning, like capstone projects, portfolio and communication skills, brainstorming sessions, and practical assignments.
